Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she moved to Oxfordshire in the age group of five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Since the age of 6 Emma was aware that she wanted to be an actress. For many years she was a student at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre academy where she studied the art of acting and dancing. By the age of ten she had performed and taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie remake to J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel premiered for the first time in 1999. Emma was discovered by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theatre instructor. After eight continuous auditions, producer David Heyman told Emma and the other candidates Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were selected for the roles of the three lead characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on the big screen took place in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. It broke all records for opening day and weekend sales, and it was the most successful 2001 film. The film received praise from people who have read it, along with the performance of three young stars. The widely distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performance admirable. Later Emma was nominated for five awards for her role in the film. She was the winner of an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film.
