Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. Originating from Worthington Ohio, she left high school to move into Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. Although she was struggling financially in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's main character. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder in Greenwich. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television show Lost in which she acted as a principal cast member for the first two seasons. She was also awarded an Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. The actress starred as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). In addition, she played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day adaptation that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost, including the finale. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 until the year 2014. The role she plays is Faith as a girl who serves as a model for the stars, and draws the eye of Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career when she was a teenager, playing small parts in a few of her father's films and appeared alongside her brother in the popular cult film Donnie Darko (2001). The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received acclaim from critics for her leading performances in the erotic romantic comedy Secretary (2002) and in the thriller Sherrybaby (2006) each of which earned her the Golden Globe Award nomination. In the wake of several successful commercial films like World Trade Center in 2006 her name was recognized more widely in the role of Rachel Dawes (the superhero) in The Dark Knight (2007). As a single mom in Crazy Heart (2009) she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Will Not Back Down (2012).
